How We Handle Renovation Moving and Storage
Our renovation storage process is designed to fit your project schedule on both ends. Pickup is coordinated before your contractors start work, and return delivery is scheduled around your renovation completion date so the timing works for everyone involved.
We begin with a review of the items to be stored. Your estimator assesses the volume, identifies any specialty items requiring additional care, and provides a written estimate for pickup, storage, and return delivery. The estimate is provided in advance so you can factor storage costs into your renovation budget.
Removal Before the Renovation
On pickup day, our crew removes furniture and belongings from the areas being renovated. Items are wrapped and protected before being carried through the home to prevent damage to newly prepared surfaces or existing finishes in non-renovation areas. Everything is loaded, inventoried, and transported to our facility.
At the facility, items are checked in against the inventory and placed in climate-controlled storage. Furniture is kept off the floor and properly supported. Items are stored with appropriate spacing to prevent contact damage. You receive an inventory list so you know exactly what is in storage.
Return Delivery After Completion
When your renovation is complete and the space is ready to receive furniture, contact us to schedule return delivery. We confirm the delivery date and time, load your items in reverse order from how they were removed, and deliver to your home within the scheduled window.
Our delivery crew places furniture back in your space according to your direction. If the renovation has changed the layout of the space, we work with your preferences for the new arrangement. All furniture pads and wrapping materials are removed and taken with us before we leave.
