Q: Do you have a minimum charge?
A: Yes. 3 labor hours minimum plus travel time applies to all local moves.
Q: What is your smallest truck?
A: 26 ft
Q: Are your trucks equipped with moving blankets and packing materials?
A: Yes. All trucks are also equipped with dollies, appliance dollies, piano boards, when applies.
Q: Are your trucks lift gate trucks?
A: Yes! This is very important for the safety of our crews and your belongings.
Q: Is the hourly rate including tax?
A: Yes! The hourly rate is a binding rate, including tax, fuel surcharge, gas. No hidden fees! No stairs, elevator or long carry fee applied to local, by the hour moves with Lifetime.
Q: Do you charge for overtime?
A: No. The hourly rate stays the same. We charge based on 15 minutes increments. If the overtime was 10 minutes, you do not pay for the
Q: Are your movers labor day workers?
A: No. All movers are Lifetime professional employees, uniformed, certified and trained.
Q: Do you offer liability protection?
A: Yes. Basic liability protection is offered with every local move, for free and with $0 deductible!
Q: Do you move office equipment?
Q: Do you wrap furniture for protection?
A: Always, even if you move across the street.
Q: Do you charge for bulky items?
A: No, but we do need to dispatch more men to safely handle bulky items, please advise if any bulky items needed to be moved for you.
Q: When is Payment due?
A: Deposit is due upon booking. The balance is due upon delivery.
In the event that you need Lifetime to store your shipment, you will have two files with us, one for the pick up and one for the drop off. The balance due at pick up, is
before we leave your home.
The balance due at drop off, is when we are done with the drop off.
LONG DISTANCE, INTERSTATE MOVES FAQ
Q: Are you a broker?
A: No. Lifetime is US DOT fully licensed to perform cross country, interstate moves, bonded, insured and AMSA certified moving company. We
own a fleet of trucks, hire professional, uniformed movers and agents to service your move.
Q: Do you dispatch at least one seasoned mover to a job?
A: Absolutely! Lifetime movers are trained professionals. Your assigned crew will have a seasoned Foreman/Team, managing the team.
Q: Do you help pack and unpack?
A: Yes! Wrapping of non fragile furniture, with moving pads is FREE and included in all quotes. Packing, unpacking and box crating is
considered customized packing services. A cost is associate with such service. We offer discount packing coupons, to help you save and stay within your budget.
Q: Do you charge storage handling fee and re-delivery fee?
Q: What are my delivery options:
A: For your convenience, Lifetime offers three delivery options:
Standard Delivery Dates- this is the most economical option. Under this option, we guarantee to deliver your shipment within 21 business days from your first available date to accept delivery.
Expedited Delivery Dates - under this option, we guarantee to deliver your shipment “immediately and no later than X date”.
Guaranteed Delivery Dates - under this option, we guarantee not to deliver your shipment before or after your preferred dates.
Q: How big are your long distance delivery trucks?
A: The biggest trucks are 72 ft long.
Q: Do you guarantee my pick up date?
Q: Can you do a last minute move?
Q: Do you ship small shipments?
A: Yes. No shipment is too small or too large for us to handle.
Q: How long in advance do I need to book my move with you?
A: We can accommodate last minute moves, but you should know that early birds save more. Last minute moves are not always eligible for the best discounts offered. We recommend you book at least 2-3 weeks before your move date and lock your rate and date. Once your file is booked, your discount will not be removed from your file, even when the rates or fuels surcharge increases.
Q: Do you ship to UK ?
A: Yes. Lifetime offers international shipping, door to port, door to door or 20/40 ft containers. Full packing for International shipping is available upon request.
Q: Is it more expensive to move in state or from state to state?
A: It depends on the route and what you need moved.
Q: Why do ask for such small deposit? Some companies and moving brokers ask for hundreds of dollars to book a move.
A: We trust that you chose Lifetime for the value we have to offer.
We ask for a small good faith, fully refundable deposit, to place your order on our books and assign a crew to service you. If you wish to move with someone else, we find no reason to hold you hostage by a large paid non refundable deposit. Trust is the key of our success.
Q: Why do you need to collect an inventory list to offer me a quote?
A: At Lifetime, we understand that moving is a stressful process. Collecting your inventory list of the items you wish to ship, will help our moving consultants customize your binding estimate. Fully disclosing your expectation and list of items you wish to be shipped, will help you budget for your move correctly and make your move a hassle, surprises free process. We don’t like surprises either. Our crews like to know what
expectation the customer has, it simply makes the process more pleasant and communication clear.
Q: Are there any additional charges you cannot anticipate at pick up?
A: Yes. As with any moving company, until your delivery agent arrives at the drop off location, it is impossible to tell if a shuttle service or long
carry will be required for safe to door delivery. We recommend you ask your complex manager or HOA if there are any road or other
restrictions for a 72 ft truck to access your drop off door.
Q: What if a shuttle service is required, but I do not want to pay for this service?
A: No problem. We can offer a few solutions:
Bring your own truck and we unload your shipment to your truck. Your truck will be considered, your final drop off location and you will be
responsible to unload your shipment to your home.
We can drop off your shipment at a local storage facility of your choice. The storage room will be considered your final destination. You will
need to arrange and pay for this storage room directly. You will be responsible to deliver your belongings to your home or hire a local mover to help you.
Q: For the remaining balance, why do you only accept cash or postal money order upon delivery?
A: Delivery agents do not have the technical ability to verify that funds are sufficient and cannot accept any other forms of payment. You will
receive a receipt for payment done from the driver. This amount will be reported back to the corporate office and your Lifetime file will be
updated. In the event you prefer to pay your balance with a credit card - please contact our billing department for approval. The balance will
have to be paid in full upon pick up.
Q: I don’t know my box count. Will you pick up more boxes and furniture if I have more than expected upon pick up?
A: Yes. We do recommend that you call your moving consultant 2 business days before your move with any inventory list changes, when
possible. This will help us price your order based on your final items count.
Q: I changed my mind and decided to stay in Arizona. Can you reprice my order?
If we did not yet pick up your shipment, simply ask your moving consultant to create a local move order for you.
If we already picked up your shipment, the cost of your local move will be 67% from your long distance cost, if the Arizona drop off is up to 100 miles from zip code 85009.
If we already picked up your shipment, the cost of your local move will be 85% from your long distance cost, if the Arizona drop off is more
than 100 miles from zip code 85009.
Q: Do you offer liability coverage?
A: Yes. Basic liability with $0 deductible is included in your order.

Q: I am missing an item upon delivery or received damaged item/s. What do I do?
A: You have the right to file a moving claim. For how to file your moving claim, visit the moving claims page.
Q: When will my Storage In Transit expire?
A: Per title 49 section 375.60, storage in transit service will expire 30 days after the date of your pick up service listed on your bill of lading. Storage in Transit (SIT) service will convert on to permanent storage and your property will be subject to the rules, regulations, and charges of the

You have the right to file a moving claim or loss or damage occurring to your goods while in transit or during the storage-in-transit period within 9-month after the date of conversion to permanent storage.

Q: Do you offer billing?
A: We do offer billing and payment after delivery, to our corporate accounts, Military and Government agencies. Ask to speak with our billing department for more information.
Q: Should I tip my movers?
A: Tip etiquette is a touchy subject under any circumstances. Tipping is not expected and is up to the customer. As with any personal service provided—be it from a waitress or a hair cutter—if you are pleased with the outcome, a little extra cash goes a long way in showing your appreciation. A general advise: if you decide to tip, divide the cash equally and hand each mover the same amount individually.
